Frequently Asked Questions
Webmail is an excellent way to access all of your email addresses (under your domain name) from anywhere in the world. You can use webmail to read and send email via your Internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, FireFox, Opera).
Unlike when reading email using a program such as Outlook, with webmail the emails do in fact remain on the server. That is to say: until you retrieve them again from home over the POP3 protocol, using Outlook or another email program.
As soon as you log in you will see a list of all emails that are in your inbox at that time. All email accounts come standard with webmail.
VEVIDA’s webmail package, @Mail, features an extensive help function. You can access it at webmail.vevida.com (secure SSL connection) under the FAQ link.
A selection:
The login details are:
- yourname @ yourdomain.com
- Password: The password you selected
- If desired, choose a different interface and/or language.
VEVIDA offers this webmail package as an extra service, not as a substitute for an email program, such as Outlook. For this reason, it may occur that certain features (such as spam filtering, mark read/unread, log into external accounts) are not available or function differently.
Email sync
The @Mail package comes standard with a synchronization plugin (called Websync utility or @Mail for Outlook). You can use this to synchronize your webmail account with Outlook. You can transfer all of your contact, calendar and task item information in your webmail account to Outlook and vice versa.
The synchronization address is: https://webmail.vevida.com. You will need to use to the following details here (for example: postmaster@yourdomain.com):
- Username: postmaster
- Domain: yourdomain.com
You must have the latest version (currently version 5) of the synchronization plugin installed. You can download this from http://atmail.com/websync/webmail-sync-5.msi.
